SCS young engineers on WCAX last night!

If you missed the news Wednesday night - take a look at this fun reporting on the underwater robotics Arts / Citizenship class that wrapped up yesterday with their in-pool testing at the Burlington YMCA pool.  This group of 8 eighth graders has spent the last twelve weeks creating their remotely-operated-vehicles so you can imagine the excitement of finally being able to "fly" them around the pool.   Here are a few pictures and a link to the WCAX story.

WCAX Underwater Robotics Engineers at SCS

David Kelly and the WCAX crew doing an interview

Our final product ready to take it's first swim

Success - these things really work!

Managing the tether is half the battle

We mounted a GoPro on one - it made that underwater footage for the interview

A nice swim at the YMCA was half the fun too
