Read Across America is an annual reading motivation and awareness program that calls for every child in every community across the United States to celebrate reading on March 2, the birthday of beloved children's author Dr. Seuss. Our school has participated in this day of celebrating reading for many years. Unfortunately, this year we had an "ice day" on 3/02, so we had to move all our activities to the following day! Our theme was "Go Wild For Reading", so included in the many related themes, was visit from Ozzie, a therapy dog owned by Erin Oliver, one of our reading interventionist. Many students enjoyed reading to Ozzie in the library.
