|Another Successful Summer School Experience!|
Some of you may wonder what happens during the three weeks of summer school that ended today at SCS. Well, let me tell you that it is a whirlwind of learning, physical activities, forming new relationships, and...food!

This year, Devon and Sue worked with out newly restructured Shelburne Food Shelf director, Susan Stock, who supported the distribution of lunches for any of the 112 students enrolled in the five summer school programs happening at SCS. Sue sent Susan a list of the types of food students wanted to eat, and they paid for the food. Thank you to Susan and the Shelburne community!
After breakfast, students packed their own lunches with oversight from the teachers, and kept them in coolers until such time their group decided to eat. In total, 457 lunches were served,which allowed our children to be fed two complete meals per day and a snack for the three weeks. What a collaborative team!
We extend our thanks to Sue and Devon, the 25 plus teachers and support staff, and the families of our students who supported this incredible program! Enjoy the rest of your summer!
