Literacy Night - Join us on Tues Nov 29 from 5:30 - 7:00 at SCS

Research shows that there is no skill more important for early learners than having a solid start in their reading.   If you'd like a few tips on how to better build reading skills at home, come and join us for our Family Literacy Night / Title 1 Parent Night on Tuesday November 29.
Nancy Radley - our new Title 1 Reading Teacher - will join SCS Literacy Coordinator in presenting this evening
The evening will begin with a soup / salad dinner in the cafeteria and then parents will have some time with the SCS Literacy Center team of teachers to discuss the elements of good reading and writing instruction and how to support your child at home.   Children will play with the Imagine After School staff while parents meet with the teachers.   The evening will then conclude with a time where children and parents work together to make several games/activities to take home to practice reading/writing skills.

If you are interested in attending - please complete and submit this RSVP survey:

We hope you will come join us to do some learning and have some fun!
