LITTLE BITS ENGINEERING 101: Using Little Bits Kits, including cloud based wireless, students will invent to their heart’s content! Students in this class will explore the basics of electronics and STEAM/STEM principles and just have fun making! This class meets on Thursdays from
HISTORICAL RESEARCH - VERMONT HISTORY DAY: Students will develop historical research skills and analyze primary sources in preparation for Vermont History Day contest, on in Montpelier. The theme is: - Taking a Stand in History. Research culminates in a group or individual project, in the category of choice - exhibit, documentary, website, performance, or historical paper (individual only). If students elect to participate in the state competition, they will need to commit time outside of this SKAT program and make arrangements for supervision and transportation for that event. (Facilitator will help to arrange carpools and will be in attendance at state event, but will not be in a position to directly supervise individual students for the day.) Thursdays from
LEGO ROBOTICS: Take the challenge! This class will continue working on programing EV3 robots in preparation for a competition, as well as some potential local meets with area schools. & Wednesday with the option to come in before school begins ( ) for extra work times.
SCS SCHOOL NEWS X 2! Students will use iPads and iMovie to create news programs for the happenings at SCS! Be a part of the action by reading and reporting the news, or being a video editor. This class will use green screens to help create worldwide newscasts! No experience necessary! - Wednesdays

LEARN HOW TO BUILD A QUAD COPTER! In this class you will learn everything it takes to build and assemble a camera-carrying quadcopter.
