Walls Up and Windows Starting in D Wing!

Work continues to move right along - both inside and now outside the rapidly transforming D Wing.   Yesterday alone there were 26 different workers from contractors including Breadloaf Construction - framing in the new window bays, KLA Masonry - putting in the new brick bases for the windows, Dennis White Interiors finishing up the wall studs and beginning the sheetrock work, Cooper Mechanical - doing rough in for all the plumbing,  Sheet Metal Specialities - beginning the ductwork for the HVAC and Mike's Electric running conduit through all the new walls.   It is so exciting to see the classroom spaces begin to take shape and imagine the great learning that will be taking place here in just a few months.
The beginnings of a maze of ductwork that will keep air flowing throughout the wing

Remember those rotting pieces above and below each window - no more, even half done the brick bases look great

Up on the roof above the gyms and administration offices, the crew from Monaghan Roofing is braving the cold and wind to get that section done before any snow flies.

The roof above the gym is already about 90% done with the new insulation and covering
We gave our first sneak preview to the parents who attended the PTO meeting last week - and will do the same again next month when there should be even more to see!   So if pictures just aren't quite enough - mark your calendar for our 6 PM meeting on Tues Dec 13 :-)
