SCS Geobee Competition Crowns our 2017 Champion

Thank you, AGAIN, to SCS students from grades 4 - 8 for participating in the 2017 National Geographic Bee at Shelburne Community School!

We have crowned a school champion!

Final rounds:
The format was slightly different for the SCS Geo Bee Championship.
Questions come in rounds, with different elements like using maps and writing answers to a single group question.

Throughout the rounds, students were eliminated after they missed two questions.
The competition in the early rounds
Students worked through difficult questions spanning U.S. and world geography. Eventually, the group of finalists was narrowed:

Ben Wilson finished in third place overall.


Reid Galvin and Isaac Krementsov
advanced to the championship round.

In a best-of-three series, using written responses, the SCS Geo Bee champion for 2017 was crowned - for the second year in a row:
