Goodbye to the E Wing - hello to the new D Wing!

The D Wing will officially be open for students this Monday March 6 - marking the next major milestone in our $9.25 million renovation project that was approved by voters in 2015.    The new wing looks fantastic - here are a few pictures taken Friday afternoon.
Meg O'Donnell from the Alpha team will call this classroom home

Diana Rich from the Holden Team will call this classroom home
Here is the bright new hallway that leads to the new team spaces
Almost as quickly as we could get moved out of the E Wing - Breadloaf Construction was moving in with their demolition teams to start the renovation work all over again.    This work will continue through mid-summer and then another set of 8 new classrooms will be ready for the start of the 2017/18 school year.   Here are a few shots of the spaces that just a week ago was home to over 150 middle school students.
The ceiling and walls are coming down in what used to be Katie Stansfield's classroom
About the only thing left of Mrs. Rich's classroom is the painting of transferable standards on the sheetrock

Is just a few months a new learning lab will begin to take shape right here where our literacy center used to be
If you would like to see the new D Wing in person, please consider stopping by during our Community Open House on Tues March 14 at 5 PM - everyone is invited!
