Food Drive to Support the Shelburne Food Shelf - please consider sending in a donation!




Our School is working with the Shelburne Food Shelf to supplement the food available for families during the April Break from school.


Below is a list of items the Food Shelf staff have identified for us.  Please consider donating one or more items on the list.  Students can place items in one of two bins around the school:  In front of the main office or at the top of the B wing  April 10 - 19, 2017.


Items we always need (starred items we always need more of for breaks):
juice boxes*
granola bars*
microwave popcorn*
canned meat/protein (stew, hash, chicken, salmon)
jars/cans of  pasta sauce
elbow macaroni
rice in 1-2 lb bags
ramen
mac and cheese in cups*
apple sauce in 6 pack cups*
dried or canned fruit in its own juice
toothpaste
toothbrushes (especially kid sizes)*
salad dressing, condiments (ketchup, mayo, mustard)

Food That’s In When School Is Out: Spring Break
The Shelburne Food Shelf will be holding a food pick-up event prior to April vacation for those SCS families that can use additional food over break. Families will be able pick up lunch and breakfast staples for break week at this event, in addition to their usual twice monthly visit to the Food Shelf.


What:  Food event pick-up for families of SCS students
When:   Thursday, April 20th   5-7pm
Where:  In the breezeway /front lobby of SCS

Throughout the summer - we will continue this program every Thursday with pickups from 4-6 PM.   More information will be coming in May - but signups are currently available in the SCS office and at the Shelburne Food Shelf.
