Windows and Walls - lots happening in E Wing :-)

We are getting into the fun time of the project where you can actually start to see the new classrooms take shape as the walls begin to go up.   Today as I put a video camera in what began as a wide open space you could literally see the new learning commons begin to appear.    Especially now that we can just walk down to the D Wing and see what we are working to create, it's hard to be patient knowing just how good this space is also going to be for supporting our students' learning.

Our first E Wing walls - and all should be up in a just a few weeks!
And here is a time lapse of our first day of wall building by Dennis White Interiors.    Enjoy!

Putting down the watersealant floor coating on Wednesday - right where our first walls went up today
Meanwhile - there is also plenty of action above and outside.    Monahan Roofing is back at it - putting down the layer of tapered insulation and membrane coat that will assure that our new wing is sealed and dry for years to come.

It's also a great time to be getting ready for the new E Wing windows - for the past couple weeks the crew has been hard at work framing above and below each of the 10 openings and now they are ready for the mason team to get to work on the brick foundations.   The windows themselves won't be long either!
