Fun evening with Charlotte Middle - in support of a great project!

I can't remember the last time we packed in 350 middle schoolers for a school dance - maybe never? But thanks to our new friends from Charlotte who joined us for this year's Cinco de Mayo celebration it was a packed night of dancing and dodgeball.
Jared our Supersounds DJ kept the gym hopping all night

The back gym was dodgeball mania
The social center was the cafeteria - with a photobooth, some great concessions and even some Wii JustDance.
Candy, drinks, chips and baked goods - perfect fuel for a night of dancing & playing

Mr. Bernie and the Green Mountain Photo Booth - some fun souvenirs from the night

The Wii JustDance "show us your moves" dance off!

The entire night was organized by Nigel and Mackenzie as their Arts and Citizenship Community Service project.   They have been working hard to raise $2000 that they will use to build our first ever long jump pit to support the track team.   Tonight should put them well on their way to filling our new hole with sand - the track team is hoping to be jumping soon thanks to their hard work.  Way to go team!
Nigel and Mackenzie - dance organizers, project planners and all around great 8th grade leaders!

Phase 1 of the long jump pit is underway - thank you Breadloaf Construction for donating the excavator to get us started
