Wind Ensemble honors Veterans at Shelburne Memorial Day Celebration

Continuing a long tradition that was started by our past band director David Myers, our current SCS Wind Ensemble, led by Tim Buckingham, performed three numbers at the annual celebration to honor locals veterans who have served in our nation’s armed forces.   We also had a large contingent of our boys presenting the flag and an honorary wreath as part of our local Boy Scout Troop 602.   It was a wonderful day, and although it was a bit rainy I’m sure it didn’t dampen the feelings of support that were felt by our local veterans.  Thanks to all of Wind Ensemble members, Tim and our Scouts for giving up a portion of their vacation day to take part in this positive community ceremony.

We appreciate the Town's preplanning to have a tent available for the band - would have been a wet concert without it
