Outdoor Classroom Day(s)!

This international initiative for Outdoor Classroom Day was discovered via LinkedIn this morning, and I couldn't wait to explore what it was all about. Outdoor Classroom Day is a global campaign to celebrate and inspire outdoor learning and play. There is a community of teachers from around the world who are sharing practice, ideas, and successes with outdoor, experiential learning via the link below the video. There are more than a million students, and over ten thousand schools participating in this campaign.
This is intended to be a fun, educational, and collaborative experience for SCS. (This is not a program, or curriculum, just a day to celebrate and recognize outdoor classroom experiences.) The three optional dates to participate are September 7th, October 12th, and/or May 17th. Let's find a balance between indoor/outdoor learning, as there are benefits to both experiences for all students. If you are curious and interested in learning more, see the link below. Maybe we could get a small group of teachers and community volunteers together to lead the way! Contact Ms. Celmer, if you're interested.
