Details: River of Light
Friday, December 14th, 2018 6pm
@ the Shelburne Field House
Arrival:
- 3rd-5th Grade Performers arrive at the FIELD HOUSE between 5:30-5:50pm
Plan on sitting on the indoor turf!
- Families are encouraged to bring blankets place on the turf floor to sit upon. You are welcome to bring lawn chairs, but you will have to carry them through the parade. There is plenty of space and everyone should be able to see well!
- Chairs will be available for audience members who need them!
What to wear:
- Anything “school-priate”
- We will exit the building immediately following the concert - there are not changing rooms available.
PARKING:
Parking at the Field House will be limited and we ask that you please reserve it for those with physical limitation.
Alternate Parking Spaces:
- SCS
- The Craft School (very limited)
- The Town Offices
- Church St.
Lantern Parade Route:
- Children MUST walk the parade with their family or the adult accompanying them. (We will not walk as a class/grade.)
- We will remain on SIDEWALKS.
- The tentative route is Harbor Rd, up Route 7 to the police department, cross to Church St, cross Falls Rd, follow Falls Road back to Rt 7, cross to Harbor and back to the Field House/School. This route is approximately 1.3 miles and will take 20-35 minutes to walk depending on speed and length of little legs accompanying you!
- Feel free to jump back to your car as needed.
Bathroom Facilities:
- A warning that toilets are limited at the Field House, so there could be lines.
- If you park at SCS and want to use the bathroom before heading to the Field House, that is available.
VOLUNTEERS:
- WE NEED YOU - We need help moving and setting up equipment starting at 4:30 at SCS. Please call Jodi Sanders at school if you can help. (WE ARE DESPERATE FOR HELP!!!)
