Friday, January 11th - nearly fifty CVSD student mathletes met at the Willison Central School for the annual MathCounts competition. Although Shelburne was disappointed to see their team trophy go to Hinesburg, SCS was proud to see Anders claim the top individual honors. Anders took home the coveted top spot in the countdown round for the CVSD competition today. He placed 5th out of all the competitors in order to make the countdown round- the top twelve advance. He kept calm under pressure and managed to move through the brackets and win by answering correctly in a sudden death round! All very exciting to say the least.
Wish the team and individual competitors luck in the upcoming NorthWest Regional Competition to be held at UVM on Saturday, February 16, 2019!
